Our American Future was founded through a group of conservative minded people who felt our values and the future prosperity of our children are continuing to be put in jeopardy by the failed liberal progressive policies and agenda of the Democratic Party. After experiencing the discrepancies and issues facing the Republican Party and conservative outside groups ability to win competitive elections in the 2020 and 2022 cycles, we decided that enough was enough.
Our American Future founders wanted to address the issues of no effective counter-messaging against the Democrat’s agenda and lack of enhanced voter turnout as a Republican Party by creating an organization that seeks to be that for the conservative voice. Our Children’s future and the future of our future generations continue to be mortgaged away by the Democratic Party and the only way to stop it is by winning key competitive races to regain control of state legislatures, win key State-Wide races, regain control of the U.S. Senate, and continue to maintain our majority in the U.S. House.
Our American Future sets ourselves apart by not simply being a constant GOP counter-messaging group to the DFL agenda but also having the niche function of providing enhanced voter turnout through absentee ballot, early voting, and election day voter turnout efforts.
We seek to establish the framework to be the top conservative counter-messaging and voter turnout organization to give republican candidates the ability to win back control of the States, remain competitive in key federal races, and compete for state-wide offices.

MISSION STATEMENT
Our American Future works to strengthen the voices of every American family and household by highlighting our conservative values and holding the progressive liberal agenda accountable.
Our American Future looks to improve the lives and prosperity of our future generations and bring hope back to the idea of achieving the American Dream.
We achieve this mission by mobilizing a coalition of conservative leaders and communities toward uniting efforts and resources from across the country to promote conservative values and ideals, establish an enhanced voter turnout apparatus, and continue holding the Democratic Party and their aligned group’s progressive agenda accountable.
Continuous counter-narrative messaging against the DFL liberal progressive agenda (i.e. define the issues before they do).
Enhanced ground-game voter turnout in key high-density conservative population centers across the state utilizing absentee ballot, early voting, and day-of-election voter turnout efforts.
Grow the Republican Party through focused messaging on key issues to gain youth and independent voter populations as a byproduct of our compare & contrast narrative messaging against the DFL.
Overall success is when conservative people and leaders have an enhanced voice toward making prosperity attainable for every American family and household and our future generations can benefit from the progress our conservative values provide.

MEET OUR TEAM
Tyler Kistner is a native Minnesotan who grew up in the Champlin/Brooklyn Park area and graduated from the University of Minnesota. Right after college, he married his high school sweetheart Marie and they made an unconventional career decision – Tyler commissionedas an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps to serve his country.
Tyler served 9 years on active duty, mostly in the elite Marine Special Operations Forces unit known as the Marine Raiders. Tyler served on four overseas tours and advanced rapidly to command over 500 U.S. and partner nation personnel on numerous counterterrorism and counter China/Russia aggression operations. During his active service, Tyler had command and control of Special Operations programs totaling over $100 million in budget and assets.
After 9 years of active duty, Tyler transitioned to the Marine reserves so that he and Marie could move back home to Minnesota. They put down roots in Prior Lake where they now have a daughter Elodie and a son Gabriel. He ran twice for Congress in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District in the 2020 and 2022 cycles.
Like so many Minnesotans, Tyler has always been concerned about the direction of America and its future, not only for our generation but for our children and future generations of America. He started the idea of Our American Future because he felt our values and the future prosperity of our children are continuing to be put in jeopardy by the failed liberal progressive policies and agenda of the Democratic Party. Lon Firchau, a lifelong Minnesotan who was born and raised in Truman MN and has lived in Mankato MN for over 30 years. He has over 20 years of business experience ranging from owner and president to chief operating officer as well as extensive experience in executive level management, finance marketing and banking operations.
He successfully started and ran two mortgage and banking businesses. The first being in the Mankato market and the second running corporately out of St Paul with 35 branch locations in 11 states helping 1000’s of people attain the American dream of home ownership. Lon became frustrated with the direction of our country and state.
In 2011 he began his political involvement by deciding to sell his business and partner up with his life-long friend, Jim Hagedorn to be his campaign manager in a run for US Congress in Minnesota’s 1st Congressional District. Even though the 2014 results were not what Lon or Jim prayed or hoped for, it showed that the 1st District could be flipped. In 2016 Lon helped orchestrate another congressional campaign for Jim Hagedorn that came within 1% of beating incumbent Rep Tim Walz, even though they were outspent 5 to 1 and had no outside support.
In 2018 Lon, with the help of a great team, successfully ran and managed a victorious congressional campaign for Rep Jim Hagedorn by putting a greater focus and emphasis on enhanced voter turnout. Lon served as Rep. Jim Hagedorn’s Political Director from 2019 – 2022. While serving as Rep. Hagedorn’s Political Director, Lon was able to create strategic relationships to help strengthen the 1st Congressional District.
After the 2022 elections, Lon realized the lack of effective voter turnout efforts by the Republican Party and Candidates in Minnesota and across the Country. He connected with Tyler Kistner and Billy Grant to help build an organization that could build the framework to help conservative candidates compete and win in elections and help provide an effective counter to the Democratic Agenda that's destroying our country and Minnesota.
